How the Store Works (& Terms of Service)

Step 1) Register

Please use the same name & e-mail to match the name & e-mail where e-transfer payments will be coming from. 

We understand if there are some exceptions, but matching is ideal. 

Step 2) Confirm your Order (re-confirm as necessary)

The cart does not reserve an item for you until the order is "Confirmed". 

If an item shows as "0" quantity in your cart, that means it was sold out before you could confirm it.

For this reason, feel free to "Confirm" once you have your most important items selected.

When you're finished shopping for the week, click "Resend Confirmation" to get the correct total sent to your e-mail.  

HOWEVER for the consideration of others, please do not confirm items in your cart that may be removed later.

Step 3) Send Payment by E-transfer

Send e-transfers to - the password does not matter as we have automatic deposit set up.

Payment is due as soon as you're finished shopping. Please do not edit your order after sending payment.

It may take up to 24 hours to mark your order as "paid". We will contact you if we can't find your payment. 

We only cancel orders when repeated requests are ignored.

Step 3.5) Delivery or Requested Pick-up Times

We welcome requests for a specific time if you have a tight schedule. Let us know what you need in the "Notes" field at the bottom of your cart. Your assigned time may be up to 20 minutes before or after your requested time.  

You can also state in your order notes if someone else is picking up your order.

Volunteers offer complimentary delivery to those in need of special accommodation for health/mobility/family care reasons. Let us know what you need in the "Notes" box at the bottom of your cart. Your order will arrive any time between 2:00-4:30pm

Please only request delivery if absolutely necessary to access the market.

There are no plans to offer delivery-for-a-fee to the general public at this time.  We are a small team of part-time staff and volunteers who are dedicated to ensuring wide public access to local food.

Step 4) Pick-up times are sent out on Fridays.

Your time may fall anywhere between 10am and 4pm on Sunday. For everyone's safety, pick-up times are are carefully assigned to-the-minute to prevent line ups on site. The pick-up site is Next Church at 89 Colborne St. in downtown Kingston.

If you did not receive your pick-up time by 5pm Friday, please check your spam folder & confirm which e-mail address it was sent to. You may wish to "white list" to ensure you receive all e-mails from us.

Step 5) Review Sunday Pick-up Instructions

Public Health and market policies continue to evolve as the pandemic situation changes, so please be sure to review the instructions in your Pick-up Reminder e-mail each week in case there have been any changes.

Step 6) Wash & check over your items. Missing anything?

Although we have taken every preventative measure possible, with your safety in mind, please wash your hands immediately when you get home, then wash and/or sanitize your items before you put them away. Check to make sure you have all the items ordered.

If there are any items missing, please call us at 613.572.7059 as soon as possible. Items missed during packing are usually able to be delivered at the end of the day. If you find an item is missing AFTER 3PM on Sunday, please contact us as soon as possible. Depending on what it is, it will be delivered by the vendor directly, or included in your next order.


  1. Each order you place is a legally enforceable contract.
  2. If you fail to pickup your order, you are still obligated to pay for the items you order.
  3. We will inspect and pack all orders prior to distribution. In the event that product gets damaged during packing, we will replace that item, provided that the damaged goods are returned.
  4. Our goal is to provide the highest quality products, and we require our producers to deliver market-grade products.
